Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween everyone! I hope everyone had a great night and, most importantly, got lots of candy! I had a very busy day. Mommy and Daddy took me to my first neighborhood parade (which I wouldn't really call walking around the clubhouse a parade because it was raining, but oh well). I was the youngest participant at the parade and by FAR the cutest. :)

Here I am with Mommy getting ready to go to the parade.

Here I am with Daddy. It had been 30 minutes so Daddy was ready to leave.

Parading is hard work!

After the parade, it was time to change my outfit for trick or treating! This year I'm 'daddy's pumpkin,' and I'll be sure to come up with an awesome costume for next year. (I heard daddy say I was going to be a football player.)

Even though it was lightly raining and cold, Mommy insisted I go meet the neighbors and go trick or treating for the first time. You can see from the pictures below I didn't last too long! I mean, I'm only 5 weeks old so I think 4 houses was enough for me!

Here I am with my stash. For only going to 4 houses, I did pretty well! I think Mommy grabbed what she liked, but that's ok, because I'll get to eat it eventually!
Ok, Mommy is alittle crazy with the pictures.

All done! Good night and Happy Halloween!

I'm one month old!

Hi everyone! I have several photos that I wanted to share. We have had quite the busy few 2 weeks! After Uncle Al and Aunt Kristi left, we had more visitors! Grandma Edmunds and Grandpa Edmunds stopped by on their way to Florida, which was followed by Grandma Smith, Aunt Chelsey and Great Aunt Maria! I have had the best time ever meeting all of my family! I also had several firsts including my first trip to the mall, my first trip to Uncle Shucks Pumpkin Farm, my first trip to the outlet mall, and my first trip to church! Daddy was very proud of me because I behaved the entire time!

Here I am sleeping on Grandma Edmunds! Mommy says I'm cute(r) when I'm sleeping! :)

Here I am supporting the Yankees! They are going to the world series and I'm very excited. I love to watch them with my Daddy!

This was my outfit for my inaugural visit to Uncle Shucks Pumpkin Farm! (Well, I actually have been twice in that same day, but that's a whole story for another day!) It was alittle cool, so I won't be sporting this outfit in subsequent pictures, but I had a nice time.

We bought a pumpkin (duh) and Daddy enjoyed a funnel cake. The highlight of the visit was watching Aunt Maria use the porta-potty and meeting the legendary Uncle Shucks! Check me out riding the tractor!

Here is Daddy with his funnel cake. Don't mess with Daddy and his funnel cake.

I might be young, but I'm practicing driving already!

I also met Uncle Paul and Aunt Sara and Uncle Todd, Aunt Suzanne and Holly! Holly shared her blanket with me...don't worry Daddy, I still like footballs better than the pink and purple butterflies!

Finally, here I am just being cute, saying goodbye to Grandma Smith and Great Aunt Maria.

Hello everyone! I'm sorry for not having written lately. I've been alittle busy...my schedule is very hectic and my entire day (and night) are consumed with eating, sleeping and filling my diaper! For anyone that remembers, it's quite exhausting! I thought I'd post a few pictures of me for everyone to see. Oh, on my 2 week birthday, I finally got to see what my belly button looks like...for anyone wondering, I'm blessed with an innie! This past weekend, my Aunt Kristi and Uncle Al came to visit. We had a really good time and ate alot of good food. I don't know what Daddy put in the jumbalya, but let's just say Saturday night was a stinky night in the Smith household. Everyone kept blaming it on me! Not fair!

This is me and Daddy on game day. While I have a cute outfit on, I decided red was not my color and necessitated 2 outfit changes before the Bears game actually came on. They won, so I'm guessing Daddy is going to make me wear the same outfit every weekend just like he does. I think that's a great idea!

Watching football with Daddy is hard work!

Here I am, 1 week old! Mommy says that I sleep like Daddy does...

Sunday Funday

This will be a brief report but I wanted to let everyone know that I appear to be a lucky baby..and not just because of my wonderful mother. No, I am a lucky baby because since I have been born the Yankees swept the Red Sox, SU Football beat Maine and now on a day Daddy calls his holy day but never comes within 10 miles of a church, the Bears beat the Seahawks. That puts Daddy's teams at 5-0 since I have arrived. Daddy was so excited with the wins that he spent the remainder of the night after the Bears win researching offshore bank accounts and pricing out flights to Vegas. Mommy had me in my best gameday outfit today and after the Yankees finished of the Red Sox and the Bears hung on I was wiped out. Tonight is my last night at Piedmont Hopsital as I will be heading home tomorrow. The nurses and doctors here were amazing and they took great care of me. But now it is time to head out and get settled in to my new home with Mommy and Daddy and get ready for next weeks battle with the Lions. Go Bears!

Happy Birthday To Me!!!

After months of anticipation, lots of sleepless nights, as well as some frustration along the way, it has finally happened. Yes, Arod has gotten hot and the Yankees have proved they can beat the Red Sox on a regular basis with a 9-5 beating on Friday September 25th..........oh, and I was born. Yes, the future solution to who could possibly replace Derek Jeter as the next Yankee captain has been born. Fear not Yankee fans, the solution is but 18-20 short years away!!

I arrived into the world at 7:20pm on Friday September 25th. Mommy was absolutely amazing the past two days while Daddy ate his way into a starring role in one of the several high cholesterol medication commercials running on TV. Mommy tried and tried to have me come into this world the natural way but I got my head turned around and my shoulder was blocking my way. So another alternative was necessary. Yes, I was a C Section baby. For those of you not familiar with a Cesarean Section Daddy says it is a form of delivery named after the great Roman emperor Julius Cesear, who you may know better from the Cesear Salad he created that is now found on most restuarant menus. Wait a second...that doesn't sound right Daddy?

Anyway, since my birth Mommy has been lamenting about the loss of her bikini modeling career and Daddy keeps asking the nurses if we will be home by 4pm on Sunday for our first Bears game together. Mommy told me if Daddy asks that question one more time he will be able to watch all the Bears games he wants, but with only half of his stuff. To be honest, I don't know what that means but I have not heard Daddy ask the question since.

Well, I am very tired now as I have had a long first 19 hours including birth, crying, eating, pooping, sleeping, eating some more followed by alot more sleeping. I believe Mommy and Daddy have posted some pictures of my first few minutes of life so please enjoy them and I am sure they will post more once I am at my new home in Smyrna!!

Could it be true?

Could it really be true? Could I actually have a middle name? I know this has been one hotly contested debate between Mommy and Daddy, and while I didn't like some of Daddy's dumb choices (Ditka, really?), I didn't mind Easton or Cole. However, I heard (through the belly, of course), that my middle name is Harrison! I'm pretty excited about it. I think HH Smith could be a professional football player, baseball player or just simply a professional like Mommy and Daddy. I'm alittle shaky on the origin of my middle name, but I'm ok with that. Mommy says that she'll tell me all about it later.

Mommy and Daddy also went to childbirth class this weekend. They took a tour of the hospital and saw where I will be born, the nursery, and where I will spend the first few nights of my life. They also watched a video on circumcision, and while it looks really painful, Daddy swears he doesn't personally remember the trauma associated with the surgery. So, I guess I'll be ok with it.

Daddy is yelling at Mommy and says I can't talk anymore till I get here, so I'll sign-off for now and be back in about six weeks! Bye!

My Atlanta Shower!

Hi everyone! I've had quite the past week! Grandma and Grandpa Smith came down from NY with all of my presents from my Syracuse shower and helped get my room ready. It's pretty kick butt, I must say. Mommy has great taste and spares no expense. Grandpa Smith did a great job painting and I love the color! It looks strangely familiar to the PBKids catalog, but I don't really mind. Mommy took Grandma all over the city to get the finishing touches and I'm very happy as to how it turned out. Check out some of the pictures! I especially love my personalized jerseys and the popcorn popper toy. Mommy caught Daddy playing with my toys up and down the hallway - he's going to have a fight on his hands once I get outta here! :)

Grandma Edmunds painted this nice picture after she had Mommy. It represents the emotions Grandma felt after she and Grandpa tried to have kids for nearly 10 years. Grandma is a really good painter, I hope she will paint again soon!
